Prime Location

Belvedere hotel is situated in a premium location in the town of Mykonos Island, ?Chora?, in Greece. It is located at the edge of the Chora, at the height of Rohari hill, opposite the School of Fine Arts and only five minutes walk from the most glamorous and cosmopolitan street of Mykonos, the Matoyianni. The Belvedere guests have the privilege of residing in a luxurious calm environment, savouring panoramic views over the white houses, the port of Chora and the Aegean Sea and being just five minutes walk away from all what Mykonos is about: Nightlife. Bars, restaurants, boutiques, are all at the disposal of the guest, in the centre of the Chora.

Inaugurated in the summer of 1995, the Belvedere was constructed in the beautiful gardens of cypresses, boucavillias, wild laurels, of one of the oldest mansions in Mykonos, the Mansion Stoupa, dating from 1850.

The hotel has the form of a small traditional Cycladic village. The village comprises seven small buildings, resembling in the houses of Chora; all arranged around an asymmetrical pool, which overlooks Chora and its port.

Separated from the rest of the village by an interior court, covered by boucavilias, the Mansion Stoupa lies entirely restored, with its various verandas orientated towards the sunset and offering spectacular views. Mansion Stoupa hosts currently ?Matsuhisa Mykonos? restaurant, for the summer months and its successor ?Remvie? restaurant, for the off-season period.

Due to its prime location, access to the Belvedere is very easy.  Coming from the pedestrians? streets of Chora, Belvedere is accessible by feet. Guests coming from the airport, the port and the beaches of Mykonos can arrive at the hotel by car or taxi, through the old district road of Mykonos.

Situated only five minutes walk away from the most glamorous, cosmopolitan street of Mykonos the Matoyianni street, where all the chic boutiques, bars and restaurants are located, Belvedere tries to ?transfer? the Mykonian lifestyle in the premises of the hotel.In this respect, Belvedere has progressively created in the gardens and common areas of the hotel, various microcosms of social life, each one with its own style and character.

Mykonos is all about glamour, socializing, partying, feeling comfortable, sexy and special, as you walk in the narrow, cosmopolitan streets of Chora. Bars, restaurants, boutiques are squeezed, next to each other. The streets of Chora resemble in theatrical stages, where everyone watches the performance of the other. The success of this island and the difference with other hip destinations, is the simple mingling of the beautiful crowd without complications, snobbism, and showoff.

This unique character of Chora is ?transferred? in the Belvedere grounds. The guest, who enters the Belvedere premises, feels like entering in privilege grounds, by passing in front of the theatrical set-ups of microcosms full of life. The happy atmosphere, created by the microcosms, along with the friendliness and warmth of the service, decompresses the guest and smoothly pushes him in a recreational happy mood.

The hotel is open and attracts outside homogeneous crowd of ?connoisseurs? of Mykonos, that mingles with the guests. In that way, Belvedere keeps the authentic spirit and essence of Mykonos and becomes a part of its life.

Every year a different microcosm is added in the puzzle of common areas and existing microcosms refined. The ambition of the management is that the loyal guests discover something new, every year they visit the hotel.Dynamism and change are also present in the everyday life of the hotel. The set-up of the microcosms differs from morning to night. Sunbathing areas are transformed in sitting areas for Matsuhisa Mykonos or Remvie. Furniture is moved, lighting is added just before the sunset. Guests watch from their rooms and common areas the transformation of the pool area stage.
